When it's come to fast food defiantly this place one of my favor place to stop. I preferred my food to be little spicy and this jalapeño peppers coming right on time with my meal.

One of the busier In-N-Out locations for both dine-in and drive-thru. Fast and friendly service (thanks, "Cameron Ga.") and good food as always, but the crowd is too much for me...

I have not been to other in-n-out burgers yet. While the food and service is great, fast can be dropped from any thing about this place . Just to popular. I wait a lot longer for my food than it takes to eat my food. and the drive threw: forgetaboutit...

Ordered and paid for a double double animal style at the drive thru with only 4 cars in line late night. Got home and suffered through eating a regular hamburger. No extra patty. No special sauce. No cheese. No satisfaction. FAIL for the future of the USA. FAIL for me ignoring the #1 rule at a drive thru. WHO THE HECK ORDERS A REGULAR HAMBURGER AT A BURGER JOINT, LET ALONE AT AN IN N OUT BURGER?!?!

  • Andrew H.

This family run fast food joint rarely disappoints. Simple menu, small meat patties and the same old seating at every location. You know what you're getting every time you walk in the door. Don't forget to order your fries well done for that extra crunch!

Waited in the drive thru for about 20 mins, ordered 4 meals after we paid and were getting our food I asked for 10 spreads (a lot I know) but when a pregnant lady asks for 10 spreads you give her 10 not 4. We each got one spread and I was super pissed considering I was craving it for about a week. I was even more pissed that she asked how many I wanted twice and then gave a dirty look and didn't even give me half the amount that I asked for

Everyone raves about in n out like its the best burger joint around! Not saying it's bad, but I don't havvvvvee to have it. Burger ingredients are fresh but the patty is just okay. Fries are just okay as well. My bf got a 4x4 and he swears it's so good along with everything else from in n out, but I'm just not convinced.

Friendliest workers, great food! A little busy because of the lack of locations but it's still worth the wait

Best fast food chain burger. Love the patty, great low carb option, perfect seasoning. +1 for the lovely cashier who took my order :)

It's an In-N-Out! There's nothing wrong with this place! The staff is consistently friendly, my friends and I get lucky every time and always beat the rush, the food is prepared exactly how I order it each time. The drive-thru can get pretty long... excruciatingly long actually. Most of the time I rather go in and order my food. I make sure to ask for extra animal sauce every time. It's just too good to pass up! I don't know exactly what it is, but In-N-Out's sodas and lemonades always taste the best. They even have pink lemonade.

The penultimate California burger. You can't go wrong with In-N-Out, always fresh, always tasty and consistent. One of the things I miss most when traveling and one of the first things I eat when I come home.

Good fast food burger, Better than Mickey D's any day. I appreciated that i could tell they used actual 100% beef, no fillers.

This place is so busy definitely not the in n out location you want to go on the weekend during lunch time. 40 min for a vanilla shake! Ok more like 50. Capitol location is better.

In N Out, you are one of the best fast food places around! Their burgers are fantastic as it is made with fresh ingredients. I can actually get a crunch from the lettuce in the burger Unlike Mcdonald's burgers). Even though their menu is really simple, it is so effective because service is much quicker that way. Even though there's always a whole bunch of people at In n Out (for very good reasons, of course), the wait is not that bad because of their simple menu. Also, you simply cannot beat the price of In n Out. You can get a full meal for around 5 dollars. The only con I would have to say about their food is that their fries are not that great because they're not crispy, and it lacks flavour. I recommend asking for their spread to dip your fries into.

If you're thinking about mc Donald's, burgerking, jack n the box , Wendy's, ect ect........SLAP YOURSELF! DO IT RIGHT NOW! Having an in n out burger will change your burger life... Especially if you're use to that oil soaked Big Mac. ......really though, if you've never had an in n out burger.. Run. RUN HERE As fast as you can... Order more than one because you'll be craving it once you've finished your first one. It's fine if you don't believe me, live your life in the dark if that's what you want.

This is my go-to; its the only one near me. Unfortunately. In N Out has some cool peeps there. Cashiers are nice. There used to be a lady there by the name of Linda that I really took to. She was adorable, very personable, every day was a bright sunny day to her. I'll miss her. She was the super best of the best! The food, to be brutally honest, isn't all that great these days. See I go out of my way to Morgan Hill to get a juicy burger with HOT MELTED animals fries. Here not so much. Fries are always cold. The cheese is never melted. I ask for extra medium rare burger patties and I either get burning hot well done or a dry lukewarm burger. Also the ingredients have changed. I feel. Plus, why add on an extra $2.00 for added cheese? There needs to be real transparency when it comes to the secret menu. The regular menu gives you the idea that this is a cheap menu but that when you order from the "secret menu" you aren't aware of the added charges. Those charges will turn a $3.55 2x2 into a $6 burger plus a $10+ meal if you want animal style fries. This is wrong in my eyes. There is some false advertisement on the website. The website says that the milkshakes are made with "100% ice cream." When I was at another location on business the staff left a gallon jug of IN & Out brand milkshake "mix" in plain view. I'll allow the picture to speak for itself. Which brings me to mention that In&Out claims on it's website that "...quality is the most important ingredient of all at In-N-Out Burger." I understand that is how it used to be, but when the ketchup & soda is loaded with nothing but High Fructose Corn Syrup and the milkshakes are nothing but HFCS (+ preservatives) then what are we paying for? Quality? Or quantity? I love the burgers. Oh I do. With a fervent addict's crave I do. However, transparency is key to me and I hope there is a change soon.

For my own personal reasons I believe that this In-N-Out Burger is the SLOWEST one in all of San Jose and let me tell you why... first of all, when you order IN THE STORE it always packed with people and your order takes at least 20 minutes to get done and when you order through the drive-thru it's not much better, it is always packed with cars and it's takes at least 25 minutes to get though it. I really can't blame the staff, it's just that the burgers are so popular and good everybody wants to eat here. That being said the Double-Double I ate here yesterday was DELICIOUS and I really enjoyed scarfing it down on my way home. If I'm not near any other In-N-Out in the San Jose area I'll go to this one, but if there is another that is closer to me I'll go eat there first cos I don't like waiting!

  • Jenn L.

I love how everything is made fresh and they are honest about what they put in their food. Since I developed a allergy to eggs, I can no longer eat the secret sauce, and the employees are really good with making sure that my food doesn't get cross-contamined with ingredients that contain egg. You also get a good value for your money. It's cheaper and better quality than other fast food chains.

This is the place we go to most often. The service is always excellent and the line is very efficient. Even though the line can be out the door you get your order in pretty quick. The seating area can get crowded but if your strategic you can swoop a table. You know it is a solid burger and consistent, so you get what you want every time.

    (4)
  • Jay S.

Love getting a 3x3 with onions (I'm over animal style) with fries and diet coke. Drive through lines during dinner/weekends are crazy (but I'm willing to wait for my precious 3x3). Should dock a star for the crazy lines but the lines moves pretty quick.

It's in and out. Do I need to say more?! Great burgers. I always get with peppers now. Mmmmm secret menu. Oh, and you can get cheese and chili fries. :)

This place will forever be busier than a hornets nest but it's never stopped me from getting my In N Out fix. If you're reading a Yelp review to decide if you'll be visiting In N Out, you have other problems in your life, my friend. Grilled cheese animal style all the way.

  • Periwinkle M.

I loooove me some In-N-Out! I've been to multiple location and THIS location makes the best food! I mean they are all awesome but this place seems like they add a little more TLC :) Their burgers and fries never get soggy?? One time I got a #2 and could not eat it for about 45 mins. My fries were still crunchy! The bottom of my burger was NOT soggy as they tend to get at other locations but it was like my meal was perfect! Except cold but not soggy :) Con: The lines can get super packed but well worth it!

  • Chris S.

I have never had a bad burger or fries here. It's always made fresh, always consistent, and always very, very tasty. The wait is a bit irritating if you're in a rush but then again, you know going in that it's not actually FAST food. Their milkshakes leave something to be desired but by the time I'm done with the rest of their food, I never really have room for a milkshake! The East Coast has the amazing marvel of construction the Statue of Liberty...we have In N Out Burger. Fair trade.

I was a good decent burgeralways super busy I was a line out the door but it's worth the wait that's what my 13-year-old daughter says it's worth the wait and we love the number three love their french fries burgers are good their fries are yummy the secret menu is cool

One of our favorite burger places. Staff is friendly and fast, food is yummy. It is the best place nearby to get burger at night. They are open til 12:00 am and they do not mind if you come in a last second. Sometimes it is very crowded but there is time when it is almost empty as well.

As I get older there are a few facts of life that I'm learning that I have to deal with: --Everything hurts, and what doesn't hurt doesn't work. --My memory is shorter and my complaining is longer. --I wake up with that morning-after feeling, and I didn't do anything the night before. --My supply of brain cells is finally down to a manageable size. --I just can't handle the grease from fast food like I could in my teens and my twenties. That last fact was particularly disturbing to me because I used to love me some disgustingly-greasy, gross fast food. Mmmm... I didn't care if it was terrible for me; I unabashedly loved it and didn't care what anyone thought. So, I was a little forlorn after I had to stop my consumption of fast food because I just would feel terrible after eating it. My stomach would ache, my guts would bubble and I'd sometimes get a headache afterwards. Well, enter In-N-Out to save the day! The sign inside the store says: "Quality You Can Taste" and that is one of the few times in my life I've actually seen some truth in advertising. Not only can I taste the quality, but my body can feel it. No more bubble guts or headaches after eating here. This is the only place I consider now when I want a fast food-style burger, fries and a shake. Here is my standard set order when I go: 1) Double-Double w/ grilled onions (I usually get it Protein-Style, but it's not a deal breaker either way). 2) Animal-Style Fries 3) Chocolate Shake, but I have been liking the Chocolate-Strawberry shake lately; either way it's all good. Try that combo on for size next time you go, and you're welcome.

I love in-n-out! I cannot get enough of their special sauce. This place is always busy-the drive thru is normally a long line but the workers are quick at getting cars through. I love how they also give stickers-a good way to entertain yourself or your kids while you wait for your food!

You know, I've been coming to this location for 12 years now and I never bothered writing a review. Why it took so long, I don't know. What I can say is that I always get a good burger and you really can't beat the prices. I remember In-N-Out from my visits to SoCal way back in the 80's. Back then it was not the cultural icon that it is now. However, it had a cult following, and I'm glad that it made it's way to the Bay Area at the start of the 21st Century. I can't say more than what everybody else is saying. Great burgers, great service, clean environment, friendly staff. The only knock is that it gets way too crowded at peak times. Expect to wait 20-25 minutes or more for your food during these times, and forget drive thru. Sometimes you are better off just coming inside. Best time to get food: at 10:30AM right when they open, usually get my food in minutes. Favorite item: 3 patties with grilled onions on a double lettuce wrap (gotta watch those carbs...)

Always a great mace to eat!!!placed a big order and the gentleman behind the counter asked if he could assist me to my car. My mom and I have the camper and he helped me take everything further out. So nice... GREAT GUEST SERVICE!!!!!

Cheap, tasty, and beautiful. In-N-Out has been on my bucket list for over a decade, and now I think I can finally die complete. Parking is available in a nice large lot out back. As this was my 1st experience, I didn't have much to compare against. However, I've been told that 90% of the locations out there are cookie cutter. In other words, you wouldn't be able to tell which location you're visiting, based on looking at the building itself. The burgers themselves are very simplistic, but you really can't go wrong. The best part is the value. $3 for a fresh burger? Simply beautiful. Move over, McDonald's. The interior is a bit on the dated side with the hard seats and tables, but if this makes for easy cleaning and keeps costs down, I'm all for it. My 1 complaint (if this counts?) - there's no Wi-Fi at this location, or any of the other ones I've been to. Not a dealbreaker, but it would definitely be nice, especially for us tourists. I really wish they'd expand beyond the Southwest. The world needs more places like these.

    (4)
  • Ha N.

Hate the wait. I ask for a lot of ketchup and they gave me only 5! That's not enough for 2 burgers and fries! And the napkin are always dirty, sticking on the food or it would be greasy! Annoyed. Never a clean napkin.

    (3)
  • A J.

The line is always ridiculously long, drive thru and inside. Sometimes you just cant resist the craving, and waiting in a line is better than having to cook something not as good yourself.

  • Julia D.

In-N-Out Burger was one of the places I really wanted to try while in California and it was every bit as good as I hoped it would be! You can actually see them in the back making the burgers to order and slicing up the potatoes for the fries. Service is friendly and they do a good job with the boatloads of people that go here. When I went the drive-thru and the restaurant had huge lines. The fries were amazing and they got the salt just right. The burger patty was nice and juicy and the bun was also really good. My only complaint was that there was way too much onion in the burger and it overpowered everything but everything else more than made up for it. I also had a chocolate milkshake which was thick, chocolately and exactly what I was craving. I always like it when a place lives up to the hype and In-N-Out did just that. They have a simple menu but they focus on doing a few things well which is a good thing if you ask me. If I lived in California I'd be here all the time!

  • Alyssa F.

Glad in n out is right by my house! I always come here whenever I crave meat especially when it's pretty late! If there aren't a lot of cars parked & the line for the drive thru is super long, just go in...It really is faster going inside and ordering than waiting in your car for like 15 minutes. In n out is the best gains in a bun AND it's cheap!!! CHEAP PROTEIN!!

    (5)
  • Martin R.

The food is the usual In-N-Out quality, and they accommodate all of the "secret menu" requests. My biggest complaint about this location, is that the seem to have trained all of the kids that work here in the art of "speed talking, and not listening" when the ask you what you want it sounds like the are talking fast forward, when they repeat my order, I ask them to repeat it again slower, so I can understand them. If you are going through the drive through and you pull up to a window, they will say, "how are you today, " then continue on with your total or your order, without giving you time to reply. If you are going to ask someone, "how are you today," either give them time to reply or don't bother, otherwise you are just being rude... POOR customer service in my judgement...

  • Magesh J.

The menu is somewhat limited (including the hidden menu) but the food is great! In-N-Out employees are fast, efficient and very friendly. I hear they're treated well by their employers so that's a plus for me too. The place is usually crowded but I've never had to wait too long (20 minutes at most) for my order. Love the burgers, especially with grilled onions. Fries aren't great but very good (McDonald's fries are better in my opinion). On the whole, In-N-Out is better than most burger joints you'll find here in San Jose.

    (4)
  • Shauna S.

I don't know how I haven't rated this yet. When it comes to a fast-food burger, In N Out dominates the world. I haven't ever had anything better at a fast food joint, and really, it gives most restaurant burgers a good run for their money too. I LOVE that it is ALWAYS consistent. I have NEVER had a burger that didn't taste exactly the way I had been craving. The fries are always amazing, and another great part? The staff is always friendly! Such a good thing at a fast food place!

    (5)
  • Ree J.

They hire such nice people. I always marvel at how nice everyone is that works here. It's clean, the drive thru is quick and the food is good. I take one star away because we say outside and there is no speaker system for outside to know when your order is ready.

    (4)
  • Khalid F.

Somewhat Subpar quality compared to other stores with the consistency. Reason for the two stars is their efficiency handling a rush-sometimes takes up to 25-30 mins to get your food.

    (2)
  • Jenna E.

I know In-N-Out is like the Holy Grail of the West Coast, but this was my first experience ever at one and all I can say is, "Meh." It was super crowded, both inside and the drive thru (not In-N-Out's fault, good for business). What made it so "meh" was that the teens taking the orders were not really listening, orders were being repeated back wrong and having to be corrected, then being prepared wrong and having to be corrected. Overall, it was a VERY slow process to get food. I ordered an animal style burger, which I had heard was supposed to be really good) and regular fries. When it finally came out, the burger was correct, but the teen tells me it's animal fries. I didn't have time to wait for it to be fix since I had to be elsewhere already, so I sat with what they handed me. The animal style burger was really tasty and the perfect size burger. The fries really didn't do anything for me and they were actually cold. I wound up throwing a good portion of them out. I'd eat there again, but I would only get the burger.

People go on and on and on and on about In 'N' Out. Personally, I don't see the attraction. When I go for fast food, I look for a good variety, and this place doesn't have it, unfortunately. "But hey," you say... You gave them four stars!" Indeed I did. I gave them a high rating for two reasons: One, the price. They are cheap, getting an "meal" for four bucks or so. Two: They have low carb/no carb options in the Not So Secret Menu options of a Double Double Protein Style and the Flying Dutchman. Protein Style gives you a normal burger, only with a lettuce wrap in place of the bun. A Flying Dutchman is a concoction that has two patties surrounding two slices of cheese. It's like a grilled cheese sandwich, but instead of bread, they use patties! Messy as hell, but an awesome option for someone on a low carb diet!

    (4)
  • Andrea J.

This place serves one of the most consistent fries/burgers - other places either serve too fried fries or too undercooked fries, but this place is consistent. In terms of drive-thru, use the entrance nearest the drive-thru exit, since the line curves towards Kohl's.

    (5)
  • Danielle T.

Yummy! I love the toasty bun atop the fresh lettuce, grilled onions, and drizzled secret sauce accompanying the juicy beef patty. Animal style is no longer a hush hush secret. We always get the animal style fries. You can get the peppers or more secret sauce if you ask at the counter to grab your food!

    (5)
  • Victor C.

Your typical In N Out but this one seems more packed than others. Possibly because it's right across from the mall and schools and really close to my house. You get the usual menu items and they don't make it any better or worse than the other locations. So, you get what you're expecting. This does seem to get much busier than other locations though so if you're planning on sitting down to eat during high traffic times, good luck. Or you can ask to share a table and then watch your new friends quickly move away from you once another table opens. Oh, I see how it is.

  • Chris S.

I love it!! I wish these places were on the east coast. This is the best fast food joint there is (maybe a close second to 5 guys). Simple to the point menus, food that actually comes out fast, and fresh ingredients make for one hell of a good place. My favorite part is the secret menu, as most know who go here. Luckily, I had a few friends from Cali who told me what to get and how to order it. "3x3 animal style, animal style fries, and an Arnold palmer please!" What a spread! I'll go out of my way to go here every time I'm on the west coast!

I've gone here twice now and each time the burger and bun has been great but somehow the fries has felt like they were dehydrated instead of fresh. I had always heard so much about them, maybe I was hoping for more.

I love In-N-Out. I'm not going to go into much detail because chances are you have eaten here before and from word of mouth or other reviews know the whole shebang menu including animal style, protein burger, lemon up, fries "WELL DONE" (which makes the fries taste better IMHO), grilled cheese, and 3x3, 4x4, etc. Happy Eatings!

  • Incynthia T.

Always preferred In N Out over that Five Guys hype. Sorry East Coast. I feel like an underserving loyal customer now that I recently learned that you can order your CBGR or HMBGR with chopped chilis. My whole experience was changed. Thank You In N Out, I love you.

If I ever want fast food I usually head to In-N-Out. The food at this location has always been solid. Burgers are always good. Things I like from their not so secret menu are getting my onions grilled and the animal style fries. Lines inside and at the drive thru can be really long especially on weekends. At the drive thru I appreciate that they have a live person standing out there taking my order to streamline the process when there's a long line.

  • Daniel R.

In-N-Out has a reputation for being simple, high quality, and cheap and for the most part lives up to that expectation. Their milkshakes are fantastic and completely real ice cream, their fries are fresh and delicious, and their burgers have a classic taste unrivaled by their competition. In-N-Out keeps me coming back because of their cleanliness, quality food for a good price, and good business practices. The lines are decent, so at any time expect a wait of anywhere from 5-20 minutes from walk-in to pickup. 20 minutes being on a busy Saturday lunch hour.

  • John H.

The burger and shakes are definitely five star! The fries are good not great. This particular location seems to get you your food faster than most I have been to. All the kids they have working all seem to be working hard, which is nice to see!

By far my favorite fast food burger. Food: The burgers are juicy, hot, and delicious. Ask for extra spread on your burger for an even mouth watering experience. The fries are good, but plain - go for animal style (with cheese, spread, and onions) to liven things up. The shakes are thick and real ice cream. Service: The friendliest fast food employees around. Always cheery, polite, and enthusiastic. They'll repeat your order back to you to ensure it's correct. I've been eating here for almost 5 years regularly and never had a mistake. Atmosphere: No matter when you go, they're always busy. The inside of the restaurant is on the smaller side, but with the barstools and outdoor seating there's almost always a seat available by the time your food is ready. Price: Unbeatable price. One of the cheapest fast food places out there. You get more than your money's worth. My #1 choice when I'm craving a burger. 5 stars.

Brother and I were hungry and didn't have lunch so we decided to drive through here. Parking is crazy busy most of the time and the drive through line is usually looped. The girl who was standing outside on the hot sun, I commend you. She kindly took our order in minutes. She didn't laugh when it called it a lettuce wrap. Hehe. I didn't totally feel like an idiot. We got a protein burger of #1, which consist of a double double burger, fries, and a drink and a #2 cheeseburger with the same combination. It took a good 5 minutes to get to the first window to pay. Guy at the first window repeated the order and took my credit card. Take out window guy was funny. He asked if we wanted ketchup, we proceeded and said no, and he still put it in then caught himself. Anyhow, total of $13 for lunch. Not bad, but food always comes with a price!

I've lost track how many times I've gotten a burger full of Onions when i asked for it totally plain. The line is too damn long to have this happen more often than not. I waited over 25mins in line and got home to 1 burger covered in onions. Get your Stuff together....

I give this place an extra star because the employees are so friendly and helpful. Burger patty is flattened and and grilled; pretty good except they said they don't come with mayo---actually they come with a thousand island type secret sauce which is probably made with mayo, or maybe soy mayo.Inexpensive but smaller than 5 Guys, even with cheese. The fries are very crispy, like Pik Nik potato fries snacks in a can---almost all crisp and little potato inside.Very salty as well, and definitely not fried in peanut oil like 5 Guys. Chocolate milkshake was good . When I first got there it looked like there was a huge line. There were a lot of people, but most had already ordered and were just waiting for their order. Inside tables fill up quickly, but there are lots of places to sit outside.

My mouth waters every time I see the word In-N-Out. The juicy burgers, the nourishing milkshakes, the wild animal fries. If I could, I would come here everyday. Oh, and the employees are the best; super nice! 10 out of 5 stars, haha!

This is terrible for you. That said, good for fast food, I was genuinely impressed. The hats for my sons are cool too. Overrated- sure... Good nonetheless

I really like their burgers. I order the grilled onions, but they are not on the menu.

I love the burgers. Fries are bomb. Freshly made with olive oil. Long drive through but worth every second!

This is my go to place! I like that it's supper fast and has plenty of parking! They keep the inside and outside really clean. There is always someone walking around cleaning ALWAYS! I love the French fry's. It my favorite. I get the grill cheese since I am vegetarian. I also love that they have spice chilies. I like spice food.

The best food burger around. I just wis the lines were smaller. The menu is simple and to the point just the way a burger should be.

So haven't been to any In-N-Out in several months. Maybe 7 months tops. Anyhow noticed that the burger was prepared like a photoshoot haha. Really it did. But I notice something totally different. Really different. The burger looked...slimmer. No, it looked thinner. Real thin. Like the patty decided to lose some weight. Better yet like In-N-Out decided to make all their patties thinner. Not leaner mind you. Thinner. You know it was 1/2 inch now its 1/4 inch. It has lost its thickness. McDonald's, Burger King, Wendy's & Jank in the Box all have their patties a certain thickness that you actually see. Five Guys, Nations, Johnny Rocket, Carl's Jr/Hardy's are some of the burger joints where they feed people with thick juicy Burger Patties! I-N-O patties almost disappeared in all the other ingredients. Is it me? Did this restaurant get a batch that was made that way? Did I-N-O really decide to make their patties that way intentionally to cut on costs in this economic hardship era? Wish I knew, but the next time I crave a I-N-O Burger I will make sure to visit another restaurant and make a comparison. Feel free to leave a comment. Sorry I wish did take a pic but my hunger was too much for me to drop my burger! Hey I was Hungry!

Now this is the burger joint I go to for Consistency... Never disappointed when eating In-N-Out no matter which location you go to. It's ALWAYS the same... Tasty, Fresh and the way I want it. Animal Style is awesome!!! Ya gotta love a place that is sorta wacky in their approach to offering a burger no matter how outrageous you want to construct it. One burger chain says you can have it your way and another will give you a couple all beef patties but have you ever seen either of them serve you an 8x8 with Animal Style fires??? In my opinion I-N-O has my vote as the top Fast-Food Burger joint.

In n out is by far my favorite burger place. Their menu is simple and straightforward. The customer service is always great. Its always packed which obviously says something, but the wait is definitely worth it. In n out's famous thousand islands sauce is what makes it really stand out. And everything is fresh which makes it really delicious, nothing is processed. If your having it for the first time definitely try out their animal fries (included on their secret menu). Animal fries include a coat of american cheese, topped with grilled onions, and of course their thousand islands sauce. Once you have in n out your not even gonna think about McDonalds or burger king again!

Very nice In N Out. Came up here for a conference and dropped by an In N Out for food. The food was good as usual, but I'm giving this place 5 stars because the customer service was so nice. Two people came by to ask us if we wanted refills. This is a fast food place. Was not expecting that question. In short...nice customer service and awesome food. Made my day.

I'd guess that most people know what In-N-Out is at this point and know whether or not they like it, but one more person's two cents can't hurt. Basically, it's great. It's no mystery as to why west coast people always talk about In-N-Out or why it's always packed. They make a quality burger. It's nothing fancy, and it's technically fast food, but it's really good. Make sure you get the special sauce on your burgers and ask for your fries animal style if you really want something great. It's an order of regular fries, but with the special sauce, grilled onions and melted cheese on top. Delicious.

What I love about In-N-Out is the restaurant is always clean, the employees are always kind and helpful, and the food is always fresh and delicious. Keep it simple.

I am always one for a good cheese burger and I don't have the privilege of eating In-N-Out Burger that often due to my location. When I am here in California In-N-Out is my go to burger joint. The lines and food often take a while, but that's all in running a successful food place. The food is amazing as always, well worth the wait. They make it simple to order the food you want, which makes for a satisfied customer. EAT THERE TODAY!

Grilled cheese animal style is awesome. French fries are delicious. Staff is friendly. So, naturally, this place is always crowded.

YUmmmmmmmmmmmmmm ! In & Out has super tasty burgers, fries are eh .. it always has a line .. always .. but they are fast so if you see a line, don't fret. I live down the street and try to avoid the urge to pull in .. fresh ingredients, good staff, it can get really packed on weekends tho .. be warned. !

Being a Californian it's obvious that sooner or later I am going to check in to what is probably our most known burger joint. Living in Texas for the past two years, this is the place I missed most and would always stop in almost as soon as I landed over Christmas break. Stupid Whataburger did not fulfill that empty place I had in my heart.... Errrr stomach. This place is always busy, but the drive thru goes by pretty fast and there's n attendant actually walking to your car just to help speed up the process. My go to order is a burger, protein style, no cheese, no sauce, add grilled onions, pickles, ketchup and mustard. The best part about in &out is that if they mess up your order.... It's always still edible! Instead of "oh darn they put cheese on my burger," I'm more like "thank god they put cheese no my burger!!!"

  • Sherry W.

This In-N-Out doesn't scrimp on the chopped chilies. Don't know what chopped chilies are? Well, they're only the greatest thing to hit burgers since animal style - get yourself some edumacation homies, and GET SOME! daviswiki.org/In-N-Out_S…

The drive through sucks eggs. You might as well get your lazy butt out of your car to order or you'll spend about half your Justin Timberlake album starting at the back of a Suburban.

I think the freshness of the burgers and fry's make In N out one of my favorite fast food places. I alway go there on a road trip north or south of the valley.

What is with this place lately!? They used to be so much faster. I pulled in at 10:30 this morning, order was taken quickly as was my money. One car in front of me at the pick up window drove off as I was paying. The inside of the place was dead so why did I sit there for 10 minutes waiting for 2 burgers and 2 fries!? The time before this we waited 20 minutes from the time we ordered til we got our food. So much for getting in and getting out in hurry. The patties are noticeably smaller too and the grilled onions, you can barely taste em cause they don't put enough on. The burger tasted ok, fries were good but my main complaint is how long it took to get my grub.

    (3)
  • Jared O.

Always a solid-gold fast food burger. This In-N-Out has the most awkward drive thru, especially when it gets busy.... which is always.

  • Jack S.

Can never go wrong with a double double with grilled whole onion and fries!

  • Jennifer W.

Ok it's dinner time here on a Sunday! Waiting in the drive thru while I write this review. Speaking of multi-tasking! LOL! I suppose people are craving burgers after shopping at the mall. I know I'm hungry! I would have to say that every in & out I have been to, they are efficient and consistent. Cant wait! Yum!

    (5)
  • Bella P.

This place is awesome. Although It is very busy, but I usually get my burgers to go. The fries are so good. this place is the best burger place in where close to I live.

I understand that in n out always has a long wait when going through the drive thru, but damn.. Don't rush my damn food. Asked for extra well done fries, and they aren't well done one bit. Plus, it also tastes like someone poured a whole container of salt on my fries. Holy shit...

    (1)
  • Michelle V.

Always a huge ass line for the drive-thru...but what In-N-Out doesn't have long lines? Because of the long lines, we came inside to order recently. Not for me of course, for the SBBF. He picked up his order of fries at Five Guys (since their fries taste so much better!) and then came here to pick up his 2 orders of Double Doubles. Even though he ordered his meat patties with no salt, it didn't take them that long to get the order to us. This place moves efficiently. Plenty of seating inside as well.

This is my go to place when I want something quick! I always get their protein style hamburgers! :) they are fairly quick and although the drive thru looks intimidating, it goes by super quick. I really love coming to this spot! Get in mah belly burger

  • Jenny T.

My family had dinner here the other night. My son dropped his entire tray of french fries. One of the cashier saw this and offered another tray of fries on the house. Talk about ole fashion service. We love this place for the service and the food.

IF YOUR IN THE DRIVE THRU, save yourself some extra car battery life and turn off your FREAGIN HIGH BEAMS!!! seriously everytime I'm here I turn off my lights so I don't burden the people in front of me, but one time I was here this guy in a raised suv pulled in & clicked his lights from normal to the high beams until I had to readjust all my mirrors back at him. :D About the food, Never a mistake in over 200 orders & counting. Keep up the good work guys!

    (5)
  • Thomas N.

Can't complain. I love this place. By far the best burger I have had in a fast food chain. Parking is a bit hard during dinner and lunch. Also, you will have to fight for a table if you are dinning in. I usually eat in the car if there is a line of people waiting to order. I always get a #1 with whole grilled onions, animal style fries and a coke. That will be an overload in calories for your day.

    (5)
  • B W.

U can't go wrong with in n out burgers!!! Try to order ur fries light well if u like a bit of crisp to the fries!

    (4)
  • Denise L.

Wow this drive thru lane at this location is ALWAYS packed, no matter what time I go. The set up is kind of awkward if you come through the front location because you have to drive past the line, and shimmy your car through the line. They do have a worker outside taking orders, and the line does move relatively fast. Food is top knotch as always though.

    (4)
  • Sherry D.

We love In-n-Out for our late night munchies. Very good milkshakes and the fries are to die for. The drive thru line is almost always long so we walk in and we never have to wait for long. Place is usually packed with local teenagers.

  • John J.

I've been to this In-N-Out so many times, but I've never reviewed it. My friends and I can always agree to come here when we're conflicted about where to go eat. It's California's classic hamburger, not like Five Guys which is from Arlington, Virginia. This In-N-Out is also at a convenient location across the street from Lucky's and Oakridge Mall. It's always crowded, but that's OK, because the quality never falters and the wait has never been too long in my experience. The fries are always made of potatoes pressed inside the store, and the milkshakes are made of real ice-cream. The price is the cherry on top since I can get a decent meal for under $5. I think everyone who loves hamburgers should try In-N-Out, because once you've had In-N-Out, you don't go back to the other chains. :)

  • k y.

The drive - thru is crazy long... they need another window yo! But we wait, we wait for the in-n-out burger... I will always prefer the cheeseburger here, hence 4 stars. However, the staff gets 2 stars, this particular location let the food sit on the counter way too long b4 they call out the numbers or hand u the food thru their take out window. I've personally had them dilly close to 5-10 minutes with my order ready but cooling off on the counter before handing it to me. I had to take it back and had them remake it cuz it was cold! C'mon now!

  • Joseph C.

I don't like much fast food, but ever since I ate the 3x3 I can't stop craving one. I tried the fries well done, they were like shoestring potatoes. It seems most people like the drive thru and there is always a long line. I like to go inside, the line is usually short.

  • Tina T.

I like visiting this In n Out when I'm in the area craving for burgers and fries. Their service is one of the best that I have experienced, very friendly and engaging. They're also pretty quick. I haven't had any issues at all :) Craving a cheeseburger, no onions and fries right now, actually! Maybe even a vanilla milkshake. Yum :)

Solid In-N-Out. Busy and a lot of kids when I went. In a pretty busy shopping area, so I can imagine it's not a-typical for it to be as packed as it was.

  • Brian D.

i go here once a month....plus! It's always busy, always noisy, always full of energy and always fun.Lots of young people and the crew that works here are efficient and entertaining.I always say the same thing: "Sir,would you like onions?",;"why certainly,I'm married!" :)

If I could give this place a no star, I would. Went here tonight and was helped by the cashier named giannina he. She was nice or so I thought. I ordered two french fries and she said she'll get my order right away. I thought that was quick, but when my husband and I were driving away, we decided to munch on the fries. I've had in-n-out fries before and they have always been hot and crispy, but these were oily and soggy. Looks like they have been sitting in the bag for a while. I didn't want to bother with turning the car around and demanding for fresh fries. I thought she was being quick in getting me my fries quick because I was pregnant and that she was trying to be helpful, but I was wrong. Now I have to inspect my fries before leaving since I can't trust the place.

  • Emmanuel T.

My favorite burger place! I always go for animal style, protein style, and extra pickles.

    (5)
  • Anna S.

Bland mushy burgers, bland mushy fries, milkshakes from powder and miles of moronic Bay Area hype cattle lined up around the block; whats not to love. FosterFreeze, Carl's and FiveGuys are three local chains that offer far superior burgers.

  • Yasmin K.

love love love this place, truly amazing love coming here for lunch; shakes are truly amazing.

  • David P.

It's in n out. Same simple menu for decades...same service as all other locations. Double double protein style is what calls my name every time. I am noticing the prices are creating up though. Someone is getting greedy back at the mothership.

Who doesn't love In-N-Out? This particular location is my go-to spot when I am away at school. Although it is around 40 minutes away from my school, the service and venue are better than other location I have been to. A major plus side is that no matter what time I have gone, there is never a long wait. For me, a table seems to be guaranteed since it isn't ever too busy. Also, the employees are always really friendly and accommodating to special orders. The boy orders super complicated burgers and fries yet they are always done to perfection. Be sure to try the Animal Style Protein Double Double Cheeseburger! It is my new discovery and I will be ordering from now on! On a side note, the location is super convenient since it is located near the Westfield Oakridge Mall!

    (4)
  • Loren C.

Great service; they're nearly always the friendliest people I've ever dealt with in the restaurant business. I've only once had a complaint about my food, and they accommodated me quickly and fixed the problem at no additional cost. It's basically my go-to place to eat! The quality is FANTASTIC.

    (5)
  • Benson M.

I dont always eat burgers but when i do, i prefer to have In-N-Out

    (5)
  • Eunice C.

Why is this location always crowded?? I don't mind it all that much though, because the service here is quick and friendly! The wait, even for the drive-thru line is always super fast and I'm in and out (haha get it??) within a reasonable amount of time. #2 with grilled onions and a Dr. Pepper always hits the spot realllll good. :)

  • Susan C.

After seeing a movie, we were starving and headed over to the In-N-Out burger joint across the street. Of course, having a meal like this at 10 p.m. wasn't really the best thing to do but who can say no to a tasty In-N-Out burger and of course my husband ordered the double double animal style. We ate our burgers and inhaled the fries and left the place very content. I've never been disappointed with a meal from In-N-Out!

    (5)
  • Sharon C.

Love in n out! Fries are crispy and the tasty burgers don't fall apart. Only gripe is that its always so busy, you wait awhile for your food.

    (4)
  • Rina C.

Tasty fluffy burgers which are always fresh...... And who can forget the animal fries!

    (5)
  • Sandra L.

I came here on a last week on a Friday around 1pm. It was still crowded even though I ordered inside. I got my burger protein style w/o the special sauce with my order of fries! It was perfect. I was short 3 pennies and they covered it. On my previous visit a month back, I ordered with the drive thru. I got back to my desk and found they messed up on my order. I went on their website and sent a note to customer service about my order. I gave them my order number, receipt number, and all info. They ended up giving me a call and apologizing. Also, they send me a gift certificate for any burger plus fries, plus any drink! On top of that, they send me a Christmas card after all this happened

  • Alex K.

I consider myself a cheeseburger connoisseur and this place is a disgrace. I faintly remember In-and-Out being one of those places I liked (in high school days) before they started popping up everywhere. The quality of ingredients has decreased and the effort that goes into the construction of each cheeseburger is lacking. The meat patties are small and produce is never as fresh as they claim. (Why do I always get the stalk of the lettuce? I mean really??) I usually don't even go during rush and still the cheeseburger stinks. I choose this place only over McD's and BK due to caloric content. 1 star for the milkshake & staff's ability to follow my complicated order: Ketchup & pickles instead (like a normal cheeseburger should)

    (1)
  • Kate B.

In n Out is my favorite fast food restaurant. I love the protein style burger and animal style fries. They'll also do 50/50 or neopolitan shakes. Yum!

    (4)
  • Sepi S.

80% of the time i use the drive thru. Can't beat animal style with extra cheese. i usually always get Grilled cheese, pretty much a burger with no meat and double cheese. and its always soo cheap and open till midnight. mmmmmmm i could def go for some right now

    (5)
  • Sammi K.

oh man...ever since they opened in almaden, i swear i've gone there almost every week. it's on my way home and i can't resist! I've stopped going to mc donalds and burger king.... nothing beats a good hamburger/cheeseburger from in-n-out. my favorite is a hamburger with both types of onions( the raw and the grilled) and ketchup and mustard instead of the spread. YUM!

    (5)
  • Yasmin S.

In 'N Out is always great! Especially this location so close to where I live! The service is great and as usual the food is always fresh. No complains, love to go here with my friends!

The review is closer to 3.5 stars. This in-n-out location is right next to my parent's house so I come here when I'm in town visiting. It's a great spot, kind of just like any other in-n-out, I guess. The food is fresh and always hot. The thing I hate? It's ALWAYSSSS busy, and I mean PACKED. It doesnt seem to matter what time it is, it is always crazy crowded. It's usually filled with younger high school kids and mall goers, which makes sense since the mall and HS are across the street. But anyways, the wait can be long. whatevs. I'll definitely come back. It's a chill place to grab a bite to eat and talk with some friends.

I wish I could have given a half star to make it 3 and 1/2 instead of just 3. I had to go with 3 because I just couldn't jump to 4 stars. I like most everything about this In-N-Out. My husband and I normally order the animal style Double-Double or the animal style Cheeseburger. (Sometimes my husband orders them with everything instead of animal style.) We love the burgers when they are cooked properly, but sometimes the patties are still quite pink or even red in the middle and that is frustrating. If you have ever eaten their burgers, you know that the patties aren't that thick! How can they undercook them?! Anyway, we really like their burgers as long as they are not undercooked. We just aren't into eating burgers that still have a lot of pink or red inside. This doesn't happen a lot, but sometimes we don't go to In-N-Out just because of the possibility. It took us a little while to get used to their fries because they are really unlike most other fries we have had. They are not our favorite style, but we will eat them when we are eating their burgers. Animal style fries are what I normally order - the fries are topped with cheese, little grilled onions and the yummy thousand-island-ish sauce that comes on the burgers. It costs extra, but I'm willing to pay for it. We enjoy their shakes - vanilla and strawberry are the flavors we prefer (they also have chocolate). They are nothing fancy, just yummy. :) The service is usually good here. As others have mentioned, the drive-thru line can get rather long...but they are pretty good at moving things along. So although you only see 3 stars in my review, I really give it 3 and 1/2 - it just won't let me!

When I was living in NYC, there was the constant In-N-Out vs. Shake Shack burger debate. Now that I've transplanted to the west coast... In-N-Out wins, hands down! In fact, I go there at least once a week. Yes, I know - my coronaries are clotting off as we speak. Double-double animal style with fries well-done is my poison of choice. The regular fries are pretty bland, and even though the well-done takes several minutes longer - the crispiness and taste make up for the wait. My tip for this locale - if you're in a hurry, go through the drive through. Even if there's a line of cars, it's inevitably faster than ordering and waiting inside.

  • Randy L.

Quick update is about ordering from the secret menu! In-N-Out has always had solid burger, but they specialty unlisted items top it all off! I feel that all my life I was missing a vital part of knowledge, and now I believe i have found it! You can get the patties and cheese order however ya like it stacked or cooked! You can get your typical animal style, protein style, and even the Flying Dutchman! (This is the Atkins friendly 2 X 2 no bun w/ grilled onions and the spread/pickles on the side!) You can also asked for grilled chopped chili's or on the side in a bag! (Careful they've got a kick!) Fries can come well done and resemble a much better fry than the typical. Of course there is many more to see and choose from..I suggest you check out seriouseats.com for more info! Oh and don't forget the Neapolitan Shakes and Root Beer Floats!!!

I use to love this place!! I don't eat fast food but this was my exception until I got really bad food poisoning at this location. Now I'm scared to go back. I as sick for two days, and I'm positive this is where I got it. The food here is awesome though. Burgers and fries animal style and their shakes are yummy and thick. But eat at your own risk.

Ahhh, I love In-N-Out. Not only does it taste really good, it's pretty cheap as well. This particular location always tends to be busy. Especially on Friday and Saturday nights, alotta kids especially from the local high schools come here after a football game, from the mall, etc. so it's always crowded.

Double double (or sometimes 3x3 depending on how fat i feel like being), whole grilled onions, extra toasted bun, well done fries, side of spread with some pepper sprinkled on the fries ive eaten at this in-n-out at least 20 times in the last few years, and it NEVER FAILS. have never had a disappointing burger yet

I judge all burgers by the In-N-Out standard and none of them ever come close. I used to drive 15 miles to get to the local In-N-Out for my 3x3 with pickles and whole grilled combo served with fries and I like getting the Arnold Palmer to drink. The staff kicks ass at every In-N-Out I have ever been to and this one is no exception, they get all my crazy special orders right. Oh and yes the fries are not the tastiest but they are fresh and about as healthy as fries can get, and if you let your burger drip it's goodness on them it helps :) In fact I am now craving them after writing this, time to head out for a hot tasty quality burger that always satisfies and doesn't break my bank.

Super fresh, hot from the grill, and beautifully crafted. I've visited locations in northern cal and southern call, lastly Orange County but this location is amazing every time.they get it right every time and when we receive our order I can't believe how hot it still is! Awesome customer service- always friendly and appreciative. Thanks to this location :)

What? I hadn't reviewed the local favorite burger? I slack. No wonder I'm not Elite. This is my local go-to, the place to go before I think about where to go or what I want, the meal that always fills and satisfies. Whether I want protein style to avoid the bread, or a double-double to feel the ole arteries harden just a bit, it's where I want to go. Yes, there's a line if you drive through. It's that good. There's always a wait inside at prime hours. Again, THAT good. Go with someone whose company you enjoy, and get a great bite at a great price!

A California classic. This is an expedient In N Out. Good service, good outdoor seating for a spring/summer day. All around great In N Out.

When my little cousins were visiting from WA we came here 3x because they love it so much. My favorite fast food joint as of yet... You can customize it as many reviewers mention but a simple cheeseburger with or without onions is what made them spread. I was in elementary school when the first on openened near Stockton and became the town's rage. It's our White Castle.

I used to think In-N-Out was good. Looking back, it was partly because the only burgers I knew back then were of the fast food variety, McDonald's and Burger King and the like. But mostly, it was because it was cool to like In-N-Out. But about 7 months ago, I discovered The Counter, and shortly after that I discovered Lunchbox Laboratory in Seattle. And I learned what makes a truly good burger truly good. Today, I set out to eat at In-N-Out again, just to see if In-N-Out could compare to Counter and Lunchbox, or even to my memories of how much I used to love In-N-Out. I ordered 4 burgers of increasing complexity. 1 plain hamburger (just meat and bun, no spread, no veggies), 1 plain hamburger with spread, 1 plain cheeseburger with spread, and an Animal-Style cheeseburger with spread but still no veggies. I started with the simplest one, the plain hamburger. Without any cheese, veggies, or spread, the burger was completely tasteless. And the meat was neither juicy nor greasy. Which is bad. At least the bun was nice and toasted. I then moved on to the next burger, the plain hamburger with spread. And the spread overpowered everything. Which would have been fine since the plain hamburger by itself was completely tasteless, but the spread also overpowered the cheese in the cheeseburger and everything else in the Animal-Style burger. And believe me, when you're eating a burger and end up with a mouthful of thousand island dressing, you're not happy. I've always said that the sauce should never be the defining ingredient of the burger. Since In-N-Out is tasteless without spread, and since spread overpowers everything else, I'm forced to conclude that In-N-Out's burgers are, in fact, terrible. You'll notice I didn't get any fries. That's because I've always believed In-N-Out fries are terrible, so terrible that even though it was cool to like In-N-Out fries, I still hated them. They taste like bad potato chips. They either need more seasoning or else they need to be thicker and more potatoey. Or both. Not even Animal-Style could save these fries. Animal-Style fries just taste like bad chili cheese fries. Coming back to In-N-Out was a mistake. I used to think In-N-Out was good. For the past few months, I knew they weren't, but at least I still had happy memories of them. Today's burgers were so bad, they've ruined all my childhood memories of In-N-Out. It is with a heavy heart and much sadness that I say In-N-Out sucks. (The astute reader will notice that I left out plain cheeseburger with no spread and Animal-Style cheeseburger with no spread from my tasting matrix. But that's okay, because that gives In-N-Out an opportunity to redeem a star, maybe two. Another reader might suggest that the veggies are what makes In-N-Out burgers good. I laugh at you.)

3 Stars Stopped by to pick something up for my gf, and this place was BUUUUSSSYYYY!!!!! I skipped the drive thru because there was a long line, but noticed there was a longer line inside, so I went back thru the damn drive thru. There was someone out there to take my order and she had a great attitude,....the guy that I paid and the one that gave me the food also had really good attitudes. And they moved pretty fast for it being as busy as it was.... I didn't get anything, but as far as I know, the order was right, and the food tasted good.

LOTS of Imitators - NEVER any duplicators...........waaaaaaah! We moved to Austin, Tx 5 years ago and I miss my IN-N-OUT! Friends/Family tease us with pictures and call us when they are in the drive-thru - that is just down right MEAN! I'd like the Extra Toast, hamburger with cheese, animal style. Fries Well Done and Lemon-up to drink.....PLEASE!

I REALLY like In-N-Out, but what really bugs me about this place is the plastic smiles and false attitudes their employees give you. "Number 142 PLEASE." Even the way they say please is like nails on a chalkboard to me. Stop giving me the fluffy bullshit attitude and just give me my food. I like real people, not polite robots that act like brainwashed cult members. I might just be one of those people that just gets really annoyed by everything though. Like Shawday B.'s review using words like So Cal and Cali. The silicon valley girl lingo really makes me want to choke on my own vomit. I can almost hear her voice in reality with a handful of "likes" and "as if"'s sprinkled on top. Even having an employee that doesn't care and kind of shrugs you off is better than having a manager thats in the grips of a panic attack rushing up to you and throwing your food on the counter asking, "Is everything ok? Are you sure? Is it alright?" Reason for rating 1. Good food 2. Painful plastic seating 3. Strange happy zombie employees 4. Insane drive through lines

My husband and I had our 2nd date here. It was our post Saratoga movie chaser, and over a conversation which included violence in films, Marilyn Manson, and an effective deconstruction of George Clooney's "Solaris," we decided that we should meet up again. The burgers were so good--cheesy, juicy, and accompanied by crisp, lightly salted fries. Since then, I've graduated from college, landed my first job, appeared on television, and discovered Animal Fries. The mix of hot, salty fries covered in melted cheese, In-N-Out's signature burger sauce, and tiny sweet onion--they're just ridiculously good. I can't go to this In-N-Out (or any In-N-Out, really) without ordering the Animal Fries. I'll sometimes forego a burger for them, or occasionally will order the Grilled Cheese (burgerless burger with cheese, tomato, on a grilled bun). They're worth the $3+ price tag every time...

Pretty consistent here for being In & out. They only thing I disliked coming here was the long lines during lunch hour. I worked a block away from here and this was my once a week treat for a burger!

What in the world is NOT to like - no - LOVE about IN-N-OUT?! Growing up in So Cal and then moving around the country for a few years -I can tell you that IN-N-OUT is well know around the US as THE 'go-to' burger joint in Cali. And there is a reason why - it's freakin fantastic. Cheap - fresh- tasty - hot -AMAZING! All words to describe IN-N-OUT. Pretty sure I'll be a fan for life. I don't crave burgers very often - but when I do this is my spot for a great one- and on the cheap!

I'm not much of a fast food fanatic and I'm even less of a carnivore burger eater. But I can do the In & Out every now and then when I'm in the mood. I had the opportunity to have a single with cheese animal style, fries and a strawberry shake here the other day. My shake was decent enough, although Nations is far superior to this. The burger was pretty good too; but I discovered I prefer the regular style with raw onions rather than the grilled in the animal version. For some reason all of my onions ended up in a clump towards the end of my burger. That meant not enough taste throughout and a little too much in one place. And I love onions so it's not often I would complain about that really. The fries were, well, what can you say about the fries here? You get a lot, they are not greasy, they are freshly made but also rather bland, limp and tasteless at times. Yes, I ate them anyway! This is one crowded location for sure and the drive-through here gets really backed up as well. But, service is fast and friendly; the food always consistent. Written in my travelogue: A good place for that quick burger/shake fix if you happen to need one.

Good in a pinch and decently priced. We enjoyed out meal and it is far superior to other fast food joints by far. If I dont feel like running to your regular burger joint we will definitely use In-n-Out....

I'd sampled my first In-N-Out food a few years ago in Vegas and I really wasn't that impressed. I was disappointed in the lack of choices and the actual food really wasn't all that different than a generic burger joint. I later found out, through the magic of the internet, there was a whole "secret menu" available to me. Armed with this information, I finally had the opportunity to make a proper go of it. I opted for a double double and well done fries, both animal style. I'd considered going 3x3 or 4x4 but decided I was already pushing my luck. The actual burger was small, fast food style, but the addition of all the extra animal style stuff made it more delicious. The bun was sorta crunchy, which I liked, but overall the sammich really wasn't anything to write home about. The fries were really good, smothered with their cooked onions cheese and what was essentially Big Mac sauce. Adding calories to fries always makes them better and these were no exception. When you have to use a fork to eat them, you know they're going to be good, but they really cease to be fries at that point. I also liked the extra crispyness of the well done, although the wife described them as burnt. Overall, I wasn't really that impressed. I've known a few people over the years that rave about In-N-Out and I'm not really sure I get it. If you get over the novelty of the secret menu, it becomes a lot like any other fast food joint out there. I'm sure an eating competition of a 6x6 or 9x9 would have been popular back when I was in college but those days are pretty much gone. Given the choice, I'd likely choose Five Guys nine times out of ten.

I kinda wandered in here. Before, the environment of yelling kids kept me away. It's the same environment you're engulfed with when you walk thru the front doors of Oakridge, the screaming hits your ears like glass shattering the silence outside. One thing I noticed is that there's always people parked outside eating. I guess people like their radios and don't want to go inside, I can understand that. But "scarf row" are always looking around, like they're smoking crack and checking around so they don't get caught. Food that creates paranoia? Hm. Unemployed downtime is uncomfortable. I spend so much time applying, more than any time in my life. I try to develop a weekly schedule for some stability on when to clean the house, when to apply, when to read, a day to do chores. I don't have money to go out. And this was my big day out. I think it started as "I should go for a walk." I ordered fries and poured a lemonade to try and avoid the soda HFCS machine. Pointless, the concentrate probably had it. I've had their burgers before. They always smell good, but they really give me gas, even a single burger. It's like popcorn, it always smells better than how it digests. I made my order and had a seat, hopefully far from people that speak at a volume of 7, but I know any empty seats around me will fill up with more. I sit and wonder why CEO's and old money are driving the country, us "lower 98%" former home owners and employed to ruin, when they have enough investments to last dozens of times over the last 2 decades of their lives. I listened to the employees. It's very odd that not only are the locations identical inside, but the employees act very similar at each location in each of their stations. You can pick out the supervisor and how they even "joke" the same. The whole chain must have the same training video and test after. I am a fan of professionalism, but it seems very cookie cutter and spieled at this chain. Accuracy and speed cannot exist with personality and individuality. Hm. The seats are hard and uncomfortable, but probably easier for someone to clean after the person before them. I like sitting at the "bar stool" seats (real bar stools are not attached to the floor), but in-n-out only has them where you have to stare at the employees and people waiting for their order. You can have burgers prepared in special ways, it's the biggest "hidden menu" people know about. It's on their web page, so I suppose it is written. My biggest problems with the menu: no pickles, no mustard! Stingy with pickles when I ask. At least they have pepper packets. I tell the story in bars how one time I brought my own condiments and people around me wanted to have some until an employee came by to "warn" me about bringing my own "food" in. And what I did after, ha ha ha! Aaahhh. In-n-out is as old as Mc's, but in-n-out as a business model is a lot lesss... evil? over the decades in comparison. And that's without any kind of desert, unless you count the shakes. I preferred in-n-out when it was something cool to get on an L.A. trip. It's strange that appreciation is lost simply because it's readily available to the bay area now. I've seen the other side of it, I sure craved Happi House like hell for years when I was in Vegas, even with all the teriyaki there. How is beef rice so hard to make? Now that I'm back, I only have it when I want to bump my mood up. In-n-out is identical to the interior of the ones I last went to in Vegas. There's one on Tropicana that everyone takes taxis to the drive thru to experience. And there's one on West Sahara, by where I used to live. We could smell the vegetable fry oil from our apartment. It hit me why I wandered in. I think a lot about the life I had and this put me in the mind that I was back there for at least 20 minutes.

Not my favorite nor usual one to go to but the associates are so nice here and it is bigger than the one on Capitol, with lots more dining and outdoor dining. It is not a favorite only because it is always so packed with customers! If it were not for the awesome workers, then I would probably never come here. You know when you go in to a huge store, and you automatically get overwhelmed? That is what happens to me! So it is no offense to anyone, just me haha. But the food is always good when I come and since there is always a rush going on, my food does come out in a timely manner! Very impressed!

Can I get a #1, protein style, grilled onions, animal style fries...5 mins to closing??? YES!!!! I love In-N-Out, but more importantly the people who work at this location are AWESOME!!!! Less than 5 minutes from my house, I actually hardly come here because I want to fit into my clothes. However, when I do come, I'm always leaving happy. I always go through the drive through and my order is always right, people are always smiling, and if I ask for extra spread or extra anything, I never get attitude and I love that! But what prompt me to Yelp now was my last time over there this past week....it was 5 mins to closing and everything again went smoothly just as if I had ordered in the middle of the day. There was no rushing, no implying that they were closing, in fact, the only reason I knew they were going to close was because I asked the guy what time they closed.(Jamie? I think that was his name) He was smiling and when I told him I was sorry for taking up their time (I asked for extra spread again) he said it was no problem at all. Man, you just don't get service like that anymore.....But thank you In-N-Out on Blossom Hill for always being the BEST!

There was a time when this was the BEST burger I've ever had and when I bit into those french fries, aaaaahhhhh, angels could be heard singing. Now, the burger is 1/4th the size it use to be, and the fries are a hit or miss. Sometimes they are cooked just right, and salted just right. Other times they are soggy or over-salted. I mostly went here because my 12-yr.-old got a giftcard for fundraising.

Who doesn't like In-N-Out??? Once a So-Cal, now an All-Cal landmark... In-N-Out is super-high quality fast food. The "Whole Foods of fast food" so to speak. Their fries are not my favorite, a little styrofoamy. My order is the same every time: 1 Cheeseburger with onion, 1 Cheeseburger Animal Style, small Neapolitan shake.... Mmmmmm!!

Double meat with grilled onions makes me smile (the burgers smile too)! In-N-Out beats all the other fast food competitors out there (McDonalds, Five Guys, Burger King, Jack, Carl's, Wendy's) in freshness, price, taste, quality of ingredients. And their fries are always fresh, hot and good!

Lets put it like this... On a hurry, 4 corners, one, mc Donald's, 2 Jack in the box, 3 Burger king, 4 in n out.. Which one you chose? Yeah i know, still fast food but you can't always say no to it.!! So at least in n out taste delicious and feel healthier and fresh! I love their fries and cheese Burger animal style. You always see happy workers, and the place is always Clean! wish I had one closer

It's In-N-Out. It's good. On my last trip here I waited in the drive-thru line to order a 3x3, mustard grilled, with a whole grilled onion. Food came as ordered. I always feel a little weird writing reviews for chain restaurants (especially fast food places), but I'm just giving this short review just to give my approval of this particular location.

I haven't even burned through half their secret menu and I'm loving it. Like all fast-food places, In-N-Out's menu pictures look a lot better than what you get. But hey, it's _fast-food_. Be lenient. It's pretty filling, not terribly expensive, and the people haven't ever been close to unfriendly whenever I've gone. The place puts you at ease; it might not be really clean, but it still feels like a closer, more personal operation. At the nearby McDonalds and Burger Kings, you get the distinct impression that they're doing something behind your back (e.g. unfreezing your burger in the microwave or something), which is fine, but here, the whole operation seems pretty authentic. Just crane your neck behind the counter and watch them work. No pictures though (I tried) - they don't like that. The taste? Good. The composition? Pretty good. I've always thought Burger King made burgers that held up better but this is purely subjective. On the other hand, In-N-Out's stuff doesn't reek quite as much of unhealthiness. The selection? If you know what you want, more than you'll ever have time to try. Ahhhhhh, yes. Delicious fast-food that doesn't make me cringe.

In-N-Out is one of my favorite treats ever! There is something about the double-double with animal fries that revs my engine! Everyone knows that quality is synonymous with In-N-Out, however, this location in particular has always been a cut above others. In-N-Out is always tasty but occasionally a burger may be a little more soggy or fries not cooked until crispy. This location has never contributed to that utter disappointment associated with one of these incidences. Far and away the best location in the San Jose area. Even if it's a tad out of the way, I highly recommend giving this location a try (although either way, it's In-N-Out).

My family and I love In-N-Out - it is the only fast food place we go to! Great burger options, fries and don't forget the shakes! It is fast, inexpensive (compared to other fast foods), and delicious!

I feel sorry for those East Coast suckas, not only because they do not get to enjoy the beautiful weather that we do, or live in the great cities that we do, but even more so because IN-N-OUT Burger is out of reach for them. For the price, the quality, and the deliciousness, the burgers here exceed that of other fast food restaurant chains world wide and even better than a lot of burgers I've had at BBQs or restaurants. Their meat is good quality, never frozen, the produce is always fresh and crispy. The menu is very simplistic, it's just great burgers, fries, and some real shakes. One bite into an IN-N-OUT Burger and you'll be hooked, and you can't forget about their Animal Style Fries. Most everyone on this part of the country knows of IN-N-OUT and loves IN-N-OUT, but for those who are not from this part, and visiting should definitely make this a stop on their list. THE NOT SO SECRET "SECRET" MENU: Animal Style Burger: Mustard-cooked beef patty, extra pickles, extra sauce with grilled onions. Animal Style Fries (a definite must): French fries with secret sauce, onions, and cheese on top. The Flying Dutchman: Two patties, two slices of cheese. No lettuce. No onions. No bun. Grilled Cheese: Cheeseburger without the "burger." Protein Style: Any burger wrapped in lettuce, with no bun. Neopolitan Shake: A mixture of chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry flavored shakes

Ummm... It's an In N Out... Just like all the rest. Busy, very busy, poorly designed parking lot, with a drive thru line that's always 7 cars deep... And usually they are blocking the parking area. But its a good burger and tasty fries, so I always go back!

I find myself craving the specific flavor of an In-N-Out burger now and again. Every time I go there, the food tastes FRESH, the restaurant is CLEAN, the service is FAST and it is affordable as far as burger joints go. My favorite thing about In-N-Out is the freshness of the food. When you can actually hear the crispy crunch of the lettuce as you bite into the burger, and the bun still has the warmth of the oven emanating from it, and the meat actually tastes like REAL meat, it stays with a person. My least favorite thing is that In-N-Out is always, ALWAYS busy. I often wonder if there is a line waiting at their door when they open for the day. Is there ever a "down" time at In-N-Out???? Be prepared to wait your turn when you go to an In-N-Out. Everyone else thinks they are great, too. Don't go to a burger joint like In-N-Out if you are looking for ambiance and superior service, ok? Just go if you want a great burger at a decent price, because that's what you'll get.

This location isn't as busy as the one close my home here in Sunnyvale. So that's definitely a plus. Ordering went by quickly and smoothly. The kid taking our order was nice and even cracked a laugh with us. Good to know they actually care about their jobs versus using to fund some drug habit, lol. Anyways our food was cooked to order and it took about 5-10 minutes. When it came out the food was freaking hot, french fries steaming hot, and delicious. I asked for grilled onions on my cheeseburger and yay they listened, haha. Nothing extravagant as I've eaten here many times in the past. Got what I asked for, and nothing bad occurred while dining here.

They've got two stars from me only due to the pleasant employees and overall cleanliness. However, my vegetarian sister and I thought they might have veggie burgers and when we asked were told they only have the bun and fixins minus the burger which they call some kind of veggie sandwich. Didn't sound too good so we were going to go elsewhere but then were told, "We have a grilled cheese available." So we ordered it. Guess what a "grilled cheese" is at In N Out? It's the bun and fixins minus the burger PLUS CHEESE!! Strangest "grilled cheese" I've ever had. I won't be back. As always, fries have an overall flat taste which isn't improved with any amount of ketchup or salt.

I found two fries in my burger? Nonetheless, so delicious. A Double double every time.. hold the onions, double up on the tomatoes. Animal Style fries... protein burger when I'm feeling healthy, strawberry shake when I'm not, and jalepenos when I'm in the spicy mood. Fast service and super friendly employees here. Too bad it's always PACKED!!

You can't go wrong with this place. You just can't. If you don't like this place you're crazy or have a strange set of core values that is plain abnormal. Take it personally, I don't care. 4 by 4 plain. side of fries and a small coke. My belief is: If the meat tastes good by itself, then it should be a burger worth eating. In-N-Out provides a solid product in spades, only my own burgers are better (of course I'm bias by saying that). Flat out, it's a good value. You get a little more and better than what you pay for, and that's truly American. Eat here. Be happy. But don't forget it's still fast food- it'll make you fat!

All of my West Coast friends insisted that I visit an In-N-Out to experience something transcendent and (apparently) indescribable. No one could describe an In-'N-Out burger, but I'll take a shot: it is indistinguishable from a McDonald's burger. There. I said it.

In-N-Out seems to be my fast food place of choice when I'm looking to grab food and go. I want a hamburger that will go bad if I leave it out for a couple days...no imitation meat please! Walking into this In-N-Out was just like walking into the one near home. In fact, the floor plan was exact! I guess they're the same everywhere as far as I can tell, but this is really only the third different one I've been to. Yay! Lunch time rush! With 3 registers fully manned, they made very quick work of taking everyone's order. Getting the grub out was a little more difficult. I order my usual 3x3 combo because I was especially hungry today. They were quick to clean up tables and I couldn't help but laugh as I saw them almost dive out of the way as a mob of standing customers attack each other for an open table! I mean, REALLY! He barely had time to take a step from the booth! I sit here on my phone writing notes for my review as I wait for my food to be done. Overall, it took 12 minutes, but I wasn't really in any hurry and I was actually going to eat it here this time. The food was as I expected...tasty and done right. I did spot a TINY bit of pink in my burger, but hey...I like medium burgers anyway. I can't say there was anything special that made this In-N-Out stand out from the others, but this place is fine by me!

I realize that this is a "no sh*t" kind of place to write about, since it is so popular, and unless you're from another planet, you know that In-N-Out is high quality fast foods. However, they are always so nice, and I think they deserve it! I've heard that In-N-Out employees get paid well for fast food workers...maybe that's what makes them so happy? Their Mormon faith? Whatever it is, it's working! I've never encountered an unfriendly worker here or an error with my order. Also, I'm a vegetarian and can still find something yummy. Animal style french fries and a soda is a meal fit for all us veggies. :P (Although their "grilled cheese" really is just all of the fixings COLD w/o the meat. Don't order that...) Visit In-N-Out Burger on Santa Teresa if you want tip-top service fast!

Best burgers around, plain and simple. My out-of-state family and friends always want to stop here at least once when they visit. Simple, straight-forward menu, service is as fast as it can be with how popular the place is. It's one of my go-to places when I don't want to cook.

I was on my way to Yogurtland. It was 100 degrees out and I had a craving for nonfat yogurt. An attempt to escape the heat with a cool delight. I never made it. The yellow swish of In n Out directed me to a drive the line only four cars deep. A godsend at this particular In n Out where the lines extend into the Kohls parking lot next door. I thought-I could get a milkshake. It's sort of like yogurt. While speaking to the polite female voice in the red speaker box my mouth blurbbed out:a double double, no onions, extra spread add pickles, fries well done and a neopolitan shake. WHAT! That's not yogurt and surely wasn't what my cardiologist would recommend me eating after bumping up my Lipitor to 80mg. It was too late. I paid the $7 and drove forward. Then-culinary delight was stumbled upon. I asked for pepper whilst the young lady removed the paper wrapper from my straw. She handed me a cellophane package containing two "Hot Yellow Peppers." I had never heard if this secret menu item. I snatched the peppers and scurried out of the drive thru an onto a shady roadside eating area. I lavished the thought of eating something new an totally by mistake. I grabbed the double double with my left hand, opened wide and bit into hamburger heaven; Meat cheese bun pickle sauce lettuce and tomato. I wasn't finished. In my right hand was a plump firm ripe hot yellow pepper. Held by it's stem I wondered if the pepper would be too spicy, do well or take the air from my sails. I tell you-the pepper did well. A bite of burg and a bite if pepper. My In n Out menu just got major refresh.

There are a few places where, no matter how many times I go, I have never been disappointed. And, In-N-Out is one of them. Sure, it is just a burger chain, and it is supposed to serve consistent food and offer consistent services. But, the latter one is especially difficult to do since it involves lots of human factors, and that is what I was referring to by saying that I have never been disappointed when coming to In-N-Out -- always lots of smiles and friendly services! Circa early 90's.... That was when I moved from SoCal land (where some famous burger chains were born, including Carl's Jr. and McDonald's in 1940's) to the SF bay area. Back in those days, there were only "2" In-N-Out burger joints in the bay area -- Gilroy and Tracy. (Well..., that is if you consider Tracy to be part of the bay area.) So, the only time when I got a chance to enjoy, what many Japanese ppl call, "B-class gourmet food," was after shopping at the Gilroy Outlet and on my way to Sacramento. Fast forward to 2010...., it is really nice to have so many locations opened up here since then. Sure, the line can be pretty lengthy, and the wait to get your order can also be long. But, that only tells how popular and loved this place is. The line moves fairly quickly since it is kinda difficult to be indecisive when you try to pick one out of three choices. (Or, if you have your favorite special order, then, you already know what to order.) And, they don't usually ask if you want fries to go with the burger because they know that is what many ppl love here and even why they come to eat. In-N-Out is the only burger joint that I know of where potatoes are freshly cut by hand at the store. And... my usual here? A double-double with fries. I've been trying to be nicer to my artery lately, so don't come to enjoy In-N-Out as much as I used to. But, I sure long for my next double-double with fries!

Finally I can say I have experienced In and Out. After all of the build up I was left feeling underwhelmed. The burgers were tasty. Super fresh ingredients make a difference, but not quite enough to set them above the rest. Maybe I should have tried the animal style? I panicked at the register and ended up with the norm. I thought the chocolate shake was extra good and had to force myself to put it down after a few samples. I may have given them 4 stars if it weren't for the fries. What is wrong with them? I don't get it. I was told they were hand cut and fresh, so why do they taste like nothing and have the texture of packing peanuts? I kept asking everyone around me "is this how they always taste?". Apparently it is. Not a gigantic fan, I think next time I'm in town I will see what Carl's Jr. is all about.

This place is always a sure thing, except for how crowded it gets. Hamburgers are awesome, fries are delicious, and Neapolitan shake is euphoric. Some say this rivals 5 guys, but i say 5 guys is always trying to mimic In-n-Out and fall short. And it wont cost you $10 for combo like 5 guys does. In-n-Out is the quintessential Californian so make sure you don't miss out on it.

Santa Teresa location is where we usually go. It's clean, however very busy. We've been arriving in different times , different days of the week to find this location packed. Drive thru is usually busy. Sometimes we just go to another place to eat deciding not to wait for 30 - 40 mnts. We like the food. I never noticed undercooked burger, however we don't eat there very often. What we don't like: too much salt in our french fries. Every time we forgot to mention not to put salt on our orders. Not sure if it can be requested. Also we don't take any small bags with ketchup to go: usually someone drops few bags into our togo bags on the top of french fries and burgers. How do we know this employee has clean hands or bags are clean?

Ok, I think it's about time the In-N-Out fad is over (unless of course you're in high school and it's your favorite hang-out spot...then you're technically there for the "ambiance" and not so much the food). Am I the only one who cared enough to notice that their beef patty is PAPER THIN? If I am succumbing to a SUPER-GREASY burger, then the patty should at least be thicker than a 1/4 inch thick! SHEESH! p.s. I secretly LOVE their animal fries (without onions) though. =/

Though I've known about In n Out's secret menu for years, I never tried to order anything from it until last week. The Double-Double already tasted so good, why mess with it? But there was so much yelping going on about animal this, protein that, I thought I would try. So I ordered a double-double animal style, no tomato, no pickle. What happened next I was sure the Pope in Rome should know about - a miracle! The perfect hamburger became... more perfect! There's no going back for me now... I'm all animal from here on out.

I'm writing this review for first timers, not us blessed Californians. There is a secret menu available here in-n-out.com/secretmenu.… First Timer Order: Double Double, animal style (animal style = pickles, extra spread, mustard fried into patty, chopped grilled onions Animal Style Fries (fries topped with thousand island "spread", melted American cheese, and grilled onions) Tips: - Don't get scared away by the simple menu. Seriously, if you can think of it, they will do it for you. You can customize your order like you're Xzibit on Pimp My Ride. - Ask for your fries to be well done. This is a tip that I recommend for even In-N-Out veterans. I've always said that In-N-Out fries need Viagra. By ordering your fries well done, they'll be able to go for hours baby. Ok not really, but they are a lot easier to dip in ketchup. - You can ask for a packet of the thousand island "spread" for free. I love to dip my fries in them! Fun Fact: Ever wonder why they call it "Animal Style"? I had the opportunity to ask that question at an online Q&A with In-N-Out managers. The story goes that at their original location, there was a group of "misfits" known as "The Animals." They had a particular way of ordering their food, which was known by the employees as "Animal Style" The IN-N-Out vs Five Guys Debate: Hands down, Five Guys wins on fries. They are thicker, crispy on the outside, and soft in the middle. The burger is where it gets tricky. Let it be known that I love Five Guys burgers just as much as I love In-N-Out, but in a different way. Sometimes you're in the mood for a meatier, juicier burger. That's when you go to Five Guys. Click USEFUL if you like this tip: Go to In-N-Out, ask for a packet of spread, then go to Five Guys and put that in your burger. I tell ya...it's heaven between 2 sesame seed buns.

Wow, talk about the best burgers in San Jose. Seriously! My brother told me that the Mercury ranked them as the best in the area! I've been here countless times before with friends, family, and my girlfriend, and each time I go, I never regret it. And to think that when I go to other restaurants and have an okay experience, I always say "man, we could have just used that money on In-N-Out." My favorite burger here would have to be either the double double or the 3x1 (3 patties and 1 cheese), we're talking about a fresh, grilled patty with melted cheese, lettuce, tomato, (no onions), thousand island dressing, and all of that smothered in ketchup. The side of root beer and fries (animal style preferrably) completes the entire packages. All of this for around 6-7 bucks. Talk about a STEAL! If you're thinking about going here be prepared to wait for about 5 minutes for your food on a slow day (rare btw) and about 10 minutes on a busy day. The food makes up for it though!

my burger was very soggy and my fries got the low end of the deal as they were clearly the leftovers from a large batch of fries. My experiences at other In n outs are usually very good but today it has disappointed me. Service was surprisingly slow and it was frustrating to sit down on a very dirty table which I had to wipe down myself. Oh well, in I go and out i go to another restaurant!

5 stars for being the BEST fast food joint out there... i'll take a number two...sometimes, a number one...grilled onions on the burger...animal style fries...a couple packages of hot peppers on the side(these suckers are freakin hot)...and a strawberry shake. woowoo!!! the fries are different...they're actually freshly cut...and not double fried like many other places you go to...so yeah, they're a little on the soggier side which is how i like it...but you can always ask for extra crispy. there are many variations of the burger that you could ask for...just check out the secret menu on their website! service is always good here...but then again, i always come during the downtime...after 11pm...i imagine them being a little more stressed during peak hours of the day. not bad though for a bunch of teens running the shop.

I was using yelp to find the nearest burger place and could not believe that people actually give In-N-Out a rating of 4 overall on a good day it would be 3 at best. The burgers are small to start with. Secondly they feature a sauce trying to compete with McDonald's bad idea. Lastly although you can order a burger the way you would like it in my case without that horrible sauce many time they get my order wrong. About the only redeemable quality of this whole establishment is their fry's. Well truth is I will still recommend with lots of disclaimers due to this is California and people here do not know a good burger if it hit them in the head.

I went here today at lunchtime i live in San Francisco so I'm use to the BUSY In-N-Out at Fisherman's Wharf... this is still good ... I went around 11AM when it's not busy but after 15mins it got a little busy I LOVE IN N OUT BURGER !!!!

I mean, an In-n-Out is an In-n-Out and they're always delicious. I can't distinguish one from another, and that's why I like it. The food, layout, and workers are so similar that I feel like I can call the cashiers by name at whichever franchise I end up at. Also, maybe that's a little creepy. Either way, thanks, In-n-Out for making my experience exactly the same as every one of your sister locations.

If you're looking for a gourmet-style hamburger, don't come here. If you're looking for a fast food burger that's freshly made and really good, come here. I've had In-n-Out many times, at different locations through the state. Every burger I've had is good. It wasn't until maybe two months ago, however, that I finally tried Animal Style. Now, I crave it at least once a week. No, I actually don't eat it once a week. Good customer service. There's always a line in the drive-thru, but there's someone out there that takes your order, making things move a little faster. One star off for the fries. I was getting them well-done, but at least at this location, the regular fries are better. At the other In-n-Outs, regular might as well be light. And I don't think I'm brave enough to try them animal-style- I'll save that for the cheeseburger. *drool* Oh, and I can't forget the root beer float!

I just love this place. Love it. I always get the double double with fries when i go here. Its all natural and fresh. The burgers are delicious and you can see them make it it in the back yourself. Aside from the food, the place is always clean and the employees are nice. And I also love the "50's style.

I love me some IN N OUT! I either get Cheeseburger animal style no tomatoes or double meat and single cheese plain (meat, cheese, and bun). It's delicious. ALSO try french fries and ask for a side of spread on the side. I know there's a lot of people who dislike the SPECIAL SAUCE...you can always ask for ketchup and/or mustard instead. If you're a vegetarian...get a grilled cheese! if you love milkshakes...try neapolitan shake (they mix the vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry together). Sorry there are no kid meals. But they do have stickers! **Blossom Hill location has never messed up my order! Thank you!

In-N-Out, what can I say... it's inexpensive and serves a good burger. Some even go the length to say it's great, but I've definitely had better and more expensive burgers. My usual order is a cheeseburger with whole grilled onions, and I usually don't go insane and order animal style (it can be overwhelming). But I do remember ordering a double double with animal style fries (fries with cheese, spread, grilled onions and pickles), and a little uncomfortably full after. SECRET ORDERING MENU Demystified (just ask and they will do): "Double Meat" = like a Double Double without cheese. "3 by Meat" = three meat patties and no cheese. "Animal Style" = the meat is cooked and fried with mustard and then pickles are added, extra spread and grilled onions are added. "Animal Style Fries" = fries with cheese, spread, grilled onions and pickles (if you ask for them). "Protein Style" = for all you low-carbohydrate dieters, this is a burger with no bun (wrapped in lettuce). "Flying Dutchman" = two meat patties, two slices of melted cheese and nothing else - not even a bun! Fries "Well-Done" = extra crispy fries . . . even better than the regular! Fries "Light" = opposite of fries well-done, more raw than most people like 'em "Grilled Cheese" = no meat, just melted cheese, tomato, lettuce and spread on a bun. "Veggie Burger" = burger without the patty or cheese. Sometimes we call this the "Wish Burger." "Neapolitan" Shake = strawberry, vanilla and chocolate mixed together. The place is usually pretty busy during weekends and lunchtime but it's worth it. A cheap simple and good burger is what this place does best, and they close at 12am everyday.

I live pretty nearby here, but I don't go here nearly enough. I think if I went here as frequently as my proximity would suggest, I'd have rated it lower. Their fries are just right, the burgers are greasy and messy, and they serve milkshakes. Good milkshakes. As far as I'm concerned, they do fast food right. Healthy? Don't hold your breath. But you'll come out of it satisfied, if not regretful. As with most (maybe all) In-N-Out restaurants, their service is pretty much the gold standard. Everyone's all smiles, people are human, and you don't feel rushed when you and your friends spend some extra time after your meal to chat. But as with most good food places, you probably won't want to loiter around the lunch rush or you'll feel overwhelmed. As a rule I just can't give a fast food place 5 stars. They never try anything new, and their food, ultimately, is the same at every branch you go. I'm a fan, but not a disciple.

So every time I get a craving for a really good burger on the fly I turn to In-N-Out. They have the non-preservative food...which is why it takes longer, people! There are so many complaints about the wait. They cut their own fries for goodness sake...give them a break! Sometimes I love their fries and sometimes I don't because I think of McD's fries...and then I recall watching the movie Super Size Me and it is In-N-Out fries or NO fries! FOR REALS!!! (You really should watch that movie...or maybe not if you have an affinity for fast food.) I always WANT the double double in my heart, but 99% of the time I get a single protein style (sometimes with cheese) since I'm watching the waist....or at least trying to maintain it for now. (Oh the strength! =\ ) Who knew that a burger & fixins wrapped in lettuce could seem like a "regular" burger?! he he Their milkshakes are really thick and rich but I limit myself on those, as well, and will not allow myself to get my own....although, I drink of it when sharing but feel less guilty. I know how to work it! The drive through seems to always be faster and I have always had great service from the staff.

I'm used to going to the In-n-Out's on Capitol Expy and in Mercado in Santa Clara... aka some of the busiest In-n-Outs in the South Bay. I had made my over to the Almaden area of SJ today to visit a friend, and I was so astonished to see not one, but at least four or FIVE empty tables when we walked in this In-n-Out. I suppose we were relatively early for lunch, though (~12:15P), and the place did bring in more people eventually... but nothing comparable to the numbers of the former locations mentioned. The worker to took my order was polite, but I've got to mention the experience of my friend. My friend who has never had In-n-Out before (he's from Boston) asked his cashier if there was such a thing as "animal style burgers" (which, I know he should have just asked me, but still), and the cashier just gave him the stank eye and answered him like he was an idiot. To that worker, ok, maybe my friend took up 2 more seconds of your time to clarify something, but really, was that attitude necessary? Keep it classy, thanks. There was also another worker that offered to wipe our seemingly-already-clean tables before we sat down in it, though. That was pretty sweet of him. A+ for him!!

Always fast (as possible), always fresh, always customized any way the customer wants it. Usual order = Cheeseburger with spread and whole grilled onion only (it's all about the flavor of the meat!) For the late night cravings = animal fries ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bathroom review: 3/5 (It's a hit or miss depending when you go and who actually carries out doing their "bathroom duty"

Hands down the best "fast food" around. Great food, cheap prices and great service. I have read complaints that the patties are small, order a double/double and tell me that is not filling. Or just order 2 hamburgers for under $4. And they speak english, clean their bathrooms/eating areas and smile!!! Nothing compares for the price imo.

We just went here again tonight. I ordered a DOUBLE DOUBLE cheese, a box of fries and a chocolate milkshake. I almost heaved. The fries had absolutely no flavor at all and they were gross, soft and squishy, and even though I was hungry and drove through 90 degree heat across town to eat here, we left 75% in the box. The milkshake was way too sweet, I took it home and put it in the freezer. And the burger was only so-so. Didn't finish that either. Why I keep coming back, I don't know. Everytime I leave I tell the people I am with never to ask me to come back and they say "YEA" and are not happy with it either. But the line is out the door everytime I show up. WHAT'S THE APPEAL? Who likes this mess? It's BLAH and boring. McD's fries are so much better and Burger King burgers taste like real burgers. Never, ever, ever will I go back to In and Out. And I mean that. I really do, so don't ask me to come here anymore, I won't. I really won't. Oh God, I'll probably do it again once my brain and stomach forget. What an idiot.

Clean, fast as they can get with how busy they are, and the food is top notch. The big thing is having a certain approach to fast food that may take a few extra steps, but its makes the burgers taste that much better without all the greasy nastiness. Straight forward, simple, killer burgs. Busy place though, so don't come when you are in a hurry.

In-N-Out burger is like that cute guy in high school that all the girls liked and wanted to date, and then you get lucky enough to spend time with him and realize that his personality is blah and he really isn't all that... Prior to moving to CA, everyone talked about how I HAD to get an In-N-Out Burger, it would change my life. Having now had a few experiences, I can't really say it's amazing. Are the burgers fresh and the fries fresh, yes. But I guess I was looking for something more, that wow factor that makes a burger unforgetable. I did enjoy the strawberry milkshake, and I like that they toast their buns. But that's really all I can say about it. Ehh. I went on a Sunday night and was suprised to find it filled with people although it wasn't crowded so I was able to find a seat easily. Lots of teenagers made up the patrons and I found myself feeling really old.

Arguably one of the best burger places California has to offer. Meal combos starting at $6 you can bet on a pleasant experience. Double Double every time with no onions, fries and a drink. Their fries will redefine what you are used to from the typical burger fries combo menus at fast food chains.

Five Guys does not compare to In n Out. In n Out's burgers are perfect on their own; they don't need a hundred extra fillings to be freaking delicious. The vegetables are fresh, patties are perfect, and THE BUN IS TOASTED. Fries are admittedly lacking , but I can look past that because everything else is so good. And because they give stickers.

my goodness. i LOVE in-n-out. i crave in-n-out. i have to eat in-n-out at the least once every 2 months, otherwise that's all that's on my mind! and i wish i still lived across the street from it. anyway, this particular in-n-out is the most efficiently run in-n-out i've seen! went yesterday around 7pm, and there was a ridiculous line of cars. i figure might as well go inside and try to beat this. there's a pretty long line inside too (the entire place was packed!), but it didn't seem as bad as outside! i got my order done quick, and my food done quick too! when i went outside, i'm pretty sure most of the line were new cars! they have a lot of people working really hard, and i even saw one kid in the middle of his work stop by the counter to ask a lady if she'd been helped already -- which she had been, but it was just so nice! they are quick, and the food was impeccable (i've been to in-n-outs that were VERY sloppy... ie not fresh or not well made). YUM! :) *****HINT: for veggies they have GRILLED CHEESE! you can get onions grilled or raw, and/or WHOLE too! animal style fries is also another great option. the NEAPOLITAN SHAKE is hella good. for meat eaters... you can animal style and/or get a 3x3, 4x4, 6x6 and so on! secret menu FTW. and california FTW ;) *vegas you are THE ONLY exception!

President's Day, and the Mrs. doesn't have the day off (what are they, fascists?) Anyway, the Kid and I have the day to ourselves. So after a morning of being a railroad maven, construction crew member, biker dude and acting like Charley in the playground after the genius treatments wear off (it's a book and movie, look it up), needless to say the appetite starts to build. So in my tradition of providing the Kid with nothing but the best junk food on Earth (yes, I am going the Hell), I decide to drop on by the local In-N-Out. So in the fast-food vein of hamburgers, In-N-Out is one of the best. I usually roll with the Double Double animal style. The Kid likes a cheeseburger, no onions. It's all drippy-licious, and it's all good. Now for the controversy. I am not a fan of In-N-Out fries. Yeah, yeah, they try to make them healthy, but it ends up flat, soggy, dry and generally tasting like wet cardboard. Some might swear by it, but I rate it a 0. Kid couldn't care less. He eats it all up. Lot's of ketchup helps. But my take is, for Pete's sake, it's pure carbo deep fried in oil. IT'S NOT SUPPOSED TO BE HEALTHY! So for my money, use the unhealthiest oil you can find, from the greasiest animal, and reuse it and reuse it until it's saturated goodness, so long as it makes the fries taste good. It's worth it. I'll pay my cardiologist later. So why the 3 stars? In-N-Out during lunch hour is like the glass pipe booth at a crack-addict convention. People are packed in there, waiting in line, impatient and pissed, itchy and scratchy, hovering over your table asking "Hey...you...yeah...you....hey....hey....yeah you...um...um....um.....anybody waiting for your table....yeah your table...um yeah your table...[itch, itch, scratch, scratch]" (and that was coming from 13 year old street urchin waiting for the two Double Doubles with onions). There is no relaxing inside, outside or in the drive-through line. 10 times the size and seating would help....immensely. Okay, time for rehab.

In-N-Out is a bay area classic. I always order the cheese burger with Animal style Fries. Ill Start with the Burger. The Buns are grilled to a savory crisp and they use fresh produce in their burgers. The Patty is cooked with a layer of melted cheese on top. Rap it up with spread sauce and that is the master piece In-N-Out is. Their Animal Style fries. Their normal fries are not my favorite. They are not as crispy and they are a bit limp. but Animal style this stuff is amazing. It comes with fries then Spread sauce, then what i think is onion sauce and then top it off with cheese. Im not saying this is the healthiest meal but this has got to be one of the best meals. They give you a fork and thats all you need. The animal style fries are made from the heavens. in-N-Out the legendary burger place

When I'm craving a burger, In N Out is definitely my number one choice over all the other fast food restaurants. I love their animal style fries and burger. Although I usually do leave feeling a little guilty so I'll save the animal style as a treat once in a while. The downside is that it's almost always busy because it's the only one I know of in the bay.

Just came out of Oakridge and I could faintly smell the grease and godliness of the In-N-out across the street. Cruised to the drive in lane and was immediately saddened. The death....of the.....*sniffle* sub $2.00 In-N-Out cheeseburger. Hadn't been to this place in a while...they are now $2.04 *sniffle..wipe* This In N Out is friendlier than the Sunnyvale or McCarthy Ranch locations, but my cheeseburgers ( Ok, I know I cried about the 2.04 but I got three anyways) were just OK. Wilted lettuce, smarmy tomatoes, and Untoasted buns. At least the Meat N Cheese portion is still good. While the burgers/value/service is still much better than it's Heat Lamp Lovin' Counterparts, add In-N-Out to the list of places that " aren't as good as they used to be".

Cheeseburger, no sauce, protien style...excellent. But I don't understand, how can you cut and make your own fresh fries and have them taste so....inferior. It's just not right, and don't be fooled, animal fries aren't any better, and they look a whole lot worse.

Best burger joint to hit up when craving burgers..i usually go thru the drive thru since i dont wanna deal with madness inside but sometime theres a long line in the drive-thru but its goes by pretty fast. Anyways #1 animal style everything and strawberry shake!!

You really can't go wrong with In-N-Out. I love their fries and their burgers! So much better than other fast food restaurants! It's right by my work and I can easily go there on my lunch break. I hate when it's lunch time because the line for the drive thru wraps around and it causes a traffic jam! Love it! :)

i find myself craving in-n-out, and i still don't know why. nothing in their burgers is amazing, i could make it all at home. i think it's the atmosphere, and the experience of finding a table when it's packed and enjoying the red and white decor hahah. but seriously, the patties are small, but the toppings are REALLY fresh. which is a major plus. this one is located near a mall, which may be why it's always so busy. i've also noticed that the bathrooms here are always clean. although it's just a burger chain, i tell everyone visiting california they have to go at least once. i also like how all the employees truly seem to LOVE their job. service with a smile!

Great! What else could I say?! This place makes me consistently happy (and my baby in my belly!). I always order the same thing- animal style cheeseburger with extra tomato and lettuce. They seem to always get it right. Love the milkshakes too but can't get it often as it gives me lots of gas. I'm lactose intolerant like almost the rest of the asian world. Boo that!

In n' Out fries remind me of styrofoam...but I still eat them...order from the "not-so-secret" menu much? I've tried the "fries light" (cooked less = softer), the "neapolitan" (choco/vani/straw shake), and the "choco-vanilla swirl" (shake)...they were all good. :) The staff at this In n' Out is very nice. They don't use the drive thru speaker, instead a staff member stands outside and takes your order by hand on a tablet sort of thing. They are always very eager to take your order, and help you remember the names of the stuff on the "not-so-secret" menu when you forget. I'd give the service 5 stars, but the food gets 4...and I don't round up on averages = 4 stars

This In-N-Out Burger, located near Oakridge Mall, is a standard In-N-Out: red and white interior design, always busy (inside and the drive thru), and the smell of fresh cut fries always invites the customer in. So what sets this joint apart from the rest? The excellent service. Every single time I visit this location (which is frequently), I am delighted with the service I receive. Whether to-go or dine-in, the food is always prepared and served in a timely manner. Though the menu appears tiny, there are a multitude of options when ordering. Animal Style, Protein Style, Flying Dutchman, you can have pretty much your pick of the ideal burger at In-N-Out. In addition, the fries are always fresh and delicious, not soggy and dated. Like most In-N-Outs, a common problem (and the only one) is finding a booth for you and friends to chow down on your savory cheeseburger and fries. As for price, it is cheap, but not at the sake of quality. Overall In-N-Out is a step above the average burger shack, and the Santa Teresa location is no exception.

They make some of the best burgers on earth an THE best fries! If you want a awesome burger at a great price this is the place to go. Very clean and sanitary, even in the restrooms. The staff are always friendly and smiling.

This place is a damn good burger place. Their burgers always taste great and fresh which is hard to find from a chain. The line is always 20 people long which may suck when you're there but it really says something about their consistency and food quality. The menu is tiny but the secret menu opens the door to tons of cool possibilities. The burgers rock! I get mine light onion, and animal style. Im not gonna get into the secret menu cause im sure you've heard about it before and if not check out their Wikipedia. Their fries, in my opinion suck though. they're dry and flavorless. If you like ketchup then pile it on or order it animal smile. I wanna come here more often but my girlfriend doesn't like it, so why dont you go for me and bring me some? I'll be at the pizza shop.

Perfection. Always great food and friendly service. Since it's so popular there's usually a wait for your food. So while you're waiting, you should squeeze some lemons into a condiment cup, and add some salt and pepper. Then dip a fry into ketchup, and then into your lemon juice to give it a nice tangy kick. Yummy!!

It's better than Burger King or McDonalds, but not near as good as Mojo Burger.

I'm mostly writing this review for the amazing service I received here. The food is pretty standard for all In-n-Outs but I could not get over how NICE the people are at this location... The guy who took my order was smiling and friendly (but not in the overly perky way). The girl who was calling out pick-up orders was ridiculously nice, making sure to say "Have a good day!" (and sounding like she actually meant it and wasn't forced to say it) to everyone who picked up their order. When I went up to the counter for a fork and knife I had 2 workers ask if I needed any help. There was a worker going around cleaning the tables and sweeping, and he offered to clear our garbage off our table. Then he was super nice to these little kids, offering them the paper hats they wear; and even actually helping them put them on their heads! Really! I don't think I've ever seen such great service. Especially at a fast food chain.

In-n-out is far by THE BEST restaraunt I have ever gone to. Their burgers are fresh and so are their fries. You see them making the fries from potatoes.

This In-N-Out seems to be a good representation of all In-N-Outs. Here you'll get the same service, cleanliness, and quality you expect at all In-N-Outs. This specific location can get busy at certain hours of the day, (especially the drive-through) but I haven't had a time where the order was messed up or forgotten.

for cheap fast food burgers, in n out is the clear winner. I don't care much about fries...i go to in n out when i want a double double and a neopolitan shake. It's not as quick as some of its competitors, and this chain in particular can test my patience sometimes, but it's worth the extra wait.

I rarely eat fast food (honestly), but every once in a while I get a craving for In-N-Out and nothing else will do. I am not cool enough to know the right order terms so I get a cheeseburger with grilled onions and a diet coke.

My favorite burger place because it's cheap, fresh, great-tasting and consistant. The key is that they have such high turnover compared to other fast food places that you never get a stale bun, brown lettuce, mushy tomatoes, old meat, or stomach issues. When everything is that fresh is just tastes good, always. My usual order is 2 hamburgers and animal fries. I don't get the regular fries because while they're freshly made, if you don't eat them before they cool down they'll develop a waxy texture...which is probably how it should be but I've been conditioned to what a fry is supposed to be like by "other" places. The animal style turns the fries into a "potato dish" you eat with a fork, so the concept of a french fry isn't there anymore. Every now and then I'll crave a neopolitan shake and will get that instead of the fries. Always get the neopolitan shake rather then a single flavor!

In-N-Out is great! There food is fresh, even the french fries. You can see them chopping them up in the back. If you're on a low-carb thing you can order protein style (no bun, wrapped in lettuce) but I like to get mine animal style (grilled onions with extra spread). I also like to get spread on the side for the french fries. Of all fast food joints I feel the least guilty eating here.

This place is always super super crowded, but the staff remains super friendly! And of course the burgers are fresh, juicy and awesome. The fries have to be eaten immediately or they go bad fast, so if you see anyone complaining about the fries it's because they didn't get to them in time. So the fries and the hassle of always being crowded drop it a star, but the Burgers and Shakes ARE YUMMY!!! And again, the staff is well trained and seem to have high morale, and they always get any intricate order correct. Like my favorite 3x3 WITH GRILLED ONIONS AND PICKLES!! :D OK that's not that intricate, but add in the rest of my family's quirky requests and they really show some skills!

Do you want a cheese burger or a cheese burger? That's what I'm talk'n about! They've got it right at in-n-out burger....keep it simple and good. Sure some high maintenance customer is going to come along and mess with the dream but the line moves quickly and the food is great. They even have code words like "animal style" and "2x4" for those who feel the need to be in some type of good old boys club.

Double Double Protein Style Grilled Onions. This place is awesome. This is a thousand times better choice than going to Johnny Rockets across the street for a burger from the past. Have you ever looked to see what it says under the rim of your cup?

I LOVE IN N OUT . A cheeseburger here MUST be ordered with grilled onions, it takes the delicious factor to a whole different level. Pepper on the fries adds a little extra flava to the already great melt in your mouth taste. I dont know what it is about these burgers but they are just so good! By far the best fast food in California

Okay so I just ate here yesterday and it wasn't really busy. I went up to the cashier and asked for a cheeseburger animal style, no pickles, extra grilled onions, extra spread, extra spread top bun, and whole grilled onions. I repeated it on many occassions and when I looked at my receipt, I didn't see the extra spread top bun, but I didn't wanna bug him since a long line came in after us. It took us about 8 minutes to get our food and when I got it, it didn't have grilled onions or the spread on the top bun. So I asked for another one, usually they cook you a new one, however this guy goes to the table and stuffs in grilled onions, but there's still no spread on the top bun....And by the time it get to me, it's semi cold. I'm not anal, I just like my burger a certain way.

Always fresh, always hot, and always tasteful. I love the energy that the employees send off to every customer. The food is great and the employees always go that extra mile just to make you or your kids satisfied. This place is family oriented and budget friendly. Although, the restrooms could use a little tidying still pales in comparison to all to other perks. A must eat at place!!!
